Finding Moonlight is a study of dreams and how we interpret them. I often wonder over planes of existence, and what dreams might represent if we open our minds to that option. When I dream of David Bowie, is it possible that we are occupying the same plane? He might be dreaming as well, but unable to remember it, just as I often forget my own dreams…
There is a magic to dreams. Your subconscious might be speaking to you about something you are trying to avoid, something you have forgotten, or something to come. I have experienced déja-vu many times in my life, usually involving completely mundane circumstances. A cat running out of a partially opened screen door, a birthday party, a conversation.
Visually, dreams inspire me. Can they lead me somewhere with my photography or mixed media? This is my hope! In this way, I intend for Finding Moonlight to become a two-part process.
Part one: the recollection of a dream.
Part two: the art inspired by the dream.
Thank you for visiting, and I hope you come back to see what happens next.
